What this privacy policy covers
This privacy policy explains what Aruba Beach Umbrella does with your information. It covers this website and the beach umbrella bookings you make on it.
In short, we ask for what a booking needs and nothing more.
What we collect when you book
To hold a set for you, we ask for your name, your email address, and the dates and beach you want. In addition, the checkout asks for a phone number and any notes you want to leave about your booking.
We collect this because we cannot run the booking without it. Therefore we do not ask for anything the booking does not need.
Payments
Bookings and card payments are completed on our sister site PalapaAruba.com, which runs the booking system for all our beach umbrella sites. Card payments there run through Stripe, so your card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches this website. We never see it and we never store it.
However, we do keep the order record itself: what you booked, the amount, the date, and whether it was paid.
We email you about your own booking. That means the confirmation, the secure payment link, and anything we need to check with you before your date.
Cookies and measurement
This site sets a cookie so it can remember what is in your cart. Meanwhile Jetpack and Google Analytics count visits, so we can see which pages help people and which do not.
Those tools report totals and trends rather than names. However, you can block cookies in your browser if you prefer.
Who else sees your information
Only the companies that make the booking work. In practice that means Stripe for the payment, Hostinger for the website and its email, and the measurement tools above.
Above all, we do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Booking and order records stay on file so we can answer questions later and keep proper accounts. Otherwise we remove what we no longer need.
Your choices under this privacy policy
Email us and ask what we hold about you. Then we can correct it, or delete it where we are not required to keep the record for accounting.
